A Shreveport man was arrested early this morning after Caddo patrol deputies discovered a large amount of illegal pills and marijuana during a traffic stop, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Bryan Odell Rasco, 34, of Shreveport was traveling in the 3900 block of Roy Road when he was stopped by Caddo Sheriff's Deputy Chris Menard for a speeding violation. Deputy Menard smelled what he believed to be a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, deputies found 48 grams of suspected marijuana, a marijuana cigarette, 15 Xanax quad bar pills, 16 broken Xanax quad bar pills, 31 Ecstasy pills, and a stolen .40 caliber handgun.

Rasco was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute schedule I, possession of schedule IV and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
