Robbery suspect charged in Caddo case

A suspect in a string of Shreveport robberies has been arrested for an attempted armed robbery in Caddo Parish, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Myles Robinson, 19, is being held at the Caddo Correctional Center on numerous robbery charges. Caddo Sheriff’s Detective Andy Scoggins added an attempted armed robbery charge today for a foiled robbery that occurred on November 2 at the Channel Marker Lounge in Oil City.

Three males wearing masks entered the Channel Marker armed with firearms. Myles told everyone to get down, and they laughed. Myles “racked” a shell into the chamber of his shotgun and told them again to get on the floor. When several of the people in the bar moved toward the robbers, Myles fired one time into the ceiling. The other two suspects fled the building, and Myles followed.

No bond has been set on the attempted armed robbery.
