What does the Sheriff's Office do for me?

Do you boat on Caddo Lake or the Red River? Does your child ride a bus to school in Caddo Parish? Have you ever taken a detour because of a hazardous spill, or needed civil papers served in District Court?

From keeping our waterways safe to collecting and dispersing tax revenue for the Caddo School Board and other entities, deputies in Caddo Parish provide services to more than 252,000 citizens within 852 square miles. Both rural and metropolitan areas benefit from sheriff's patrol and investigations departments.

Caddo deputies:

• Keep waterways safe by conducting river patrols


• Perform search and rescue operations


• Are trained in Strategic Weapons and Tactics -
S. W. A. T.

• Conduct stock patrols
• Provide bomb squad response
• Serve approximately 100,000 legal papers annually
• Supervise all misdemeanor probationers in Caddo Parish
• Supervise parish litter abatement
• Provide training for all area law enforcement agencies
• Are responsible for more than 1,100 city parish and state prisoners daily
