Sheriff’s narcotics agents arrest Vivian man

Caddo Parish Sheriff’s narcotics agents arrested a Vivian man today in the middle of downtown Shreveport on several drug and firearms charges.

At about 2:20 p.m., the agents stopped a car at the intersection of Texas and Market Streets and arrested the driver, Mark A. Peters, 40, of 205 E. Penrod in Vivian. The agents seized about 7.2 grams of methamphetamines valued at about $700, about an ounce of marijuana valued at about $100, a loaded handgun and drug paraphernalia.

The agents booked Peters at the Caddo Correctional Center at about 4:30 p.m. and charged him with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamines, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Peters remained in the Caddo Parish jail at 7:30 p.m. today pending bond being set.
