Sheriff to present Distinguished Citizen Medals Tuesday

Caddo Parish Sheriff Don Hathaway will present Distinguished Citizen Medals to the two Herndon Magnet School Fifth Grade students who displayed extraordinary bravery in reporting the possession of a loaded handgun by another student on school property, thus allowing Sheriff’s Deputies to prevent a tragic, life-threatening incident.

The presentations will be made at the school’s Honors Day program at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1. Herndon Magnet School is located at 11845 Gamm Road, Gilliam.
