Two men arrested for their roles in west Caddo shooting case

Caddo Sheriff’s detectives have arrested two men for their roles in a shooting occurring on November 26th at a house located in the 5400 block of Asbury Lane in Shreveport, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Caddo Sheriff’s Detectives Donnie Laney and Keith Fox investigated the case and said Ricky Blomgren, who resided at the house on Asbury Lane, was selling drugs from his home when he was robbed of nearly two pounds of marijuana and shot several times. During the investigation, Vincent Efferson was identified as one of the men who robbed Blomgren. There were two additional men involved in the shooting that have not yet been identified.

 Detectives obtained a search warrant for Blomgren’s home and during the search found 56 grams of marijuana and a firearm. On November 26, 2013, Blomgren was arrested for manufacturing and distribution of schedule I and illegal carrying of a weapon with a controlled dangerous substance.

Detective Laney also obtained an arrest warrant for Vincent Efferson, charging him with attempted first degree murder. Detectives located Efferson at his home yesterday evening, which is located at 5446 Chuck A Lane in Shreveport. Efferson was arrested for the attempted murder warrant and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center. His bond was set at $300,000.

Caddo Sheriff’s detectives are continuing to investigate the case.  

Caddo Sheriff’s detectives have identified Keynon Letray Frazier, DOB 7/26/1995, as one of the previously unidentified suspects involved in the November 26th shooting. Detective Donnie Laney obtained an arrest warrant charging Keynon Frazier with attempted first degree murder. The bond was set at $300,000.
