Employee steals over $38,000 from local bingo parlor

A Shreveport man is now behind bars for stealing over $38,000 from a local bingo parlor, said Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator.

Patrick Joseph Lincoln, 34, of Shreveport was arrested by Caddo Sheriff’s Detective Doug Smith after an investigation determined Lincoln stole $38,941from Veteran’s Bingo Parlor where Lincoln was employed. On September 10, 2016, Lincoln took two checks belonging to the business and issued them to himself, one for $10,000 and another for $15,000. The next day at the end of his shift, Lincoln took all of the money from the safe and ATM, a total of $13,941, placed it in a bag and left the business.

Detective Doug Smith obtained an arrest warrant for Patrick Lincoln for felony theft. Lincoln turned himself in at the Caddo Shreveport Financial Crimes Office. In his possession at the time was $25,475 in cash. Lincoln told detectives the money needed to be returned to Veteran’s Bingo Parlor.

Patrick Lincoln was booked into Caddo Correctional Center and the money was returned to the victim.
