A Caddo deputy who was working a special detail to identify and arrest drunk drivers located more than that on Friday, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Deputy James Norwood was working a DWI grant when he stopped a small vehicle on North Market at Lakewood. Upon contacting the driver, 21-year-old Atreyvius Rogers, Norwood smelled a strong odor of marijuana. Permission to search the vehicle was given, and during the search 188.5 grams of suspected marijuana was found along with several different types of paraphernalia. A ledger documenting narcotics sales and $1,300 in cash were also located.

Two other occupants were with Rogers in the car. They were identified as Ronesha Murff, 20, and Gary Sutton, 22. All three were charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Assisting Norwood with the arrests were Deputies Kenny Bonin, Michael McConnell, and Marcus Jeansonne.
