Caddo Sheriff’s detectives are searching for a man who fired shots into a vehicle carrying three adults and a 2-year-old child over the weekend, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Quincy Antonie Jackson, 31, of Shreveport, is being sought on a warrant for attempted first-degree murder.

The shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, at a business in the 14000 block of Hwy. 1 in Vivian where one of the victims, Eric Watson, had arranged to pick up his 2 year old from the child’s mother. Watson arrived at the business with two friends. The child and her mother, Jade Morris, arrived with Jackson.

During the exchange, Jackson got out of his car and followed Watson back to his car as the pair exchanged words. When Jackson refused to back off, Watson took off his belt and swung it at Jackson striking him. Jackson then retrieved a gun from his car and fired multiple shots at Watson and the occupants of Watson’s car, including the child. No one was injured.

Jackson fled the scene with Morris in a black Hyundai Sonata. The vehicle was later located at the Villa Norte Apartments in the 1600 block of Fullerton in Shreveport.

Morris was interviewed on Saturday by detectives at the Caddo Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division.  She was charged with the Accessory after the Fact to Attempted First-Degree Murder.

Jackson remains at large. He has a history of violent crimes and should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding his location is asked to contact the Caddo Sheriff’s Office at 675-2170 or Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
