Caddo Sheriff to host Academy graduation

Graduation exercises for the 43rd basic training class of the Caddo Sheriff’s Regional Training Academy will take place at 4 p.m. Monday, May 7, at Calvary Baptist Church, 9333 Linwood Avenue.  Sheriff Steve Prator will be the guest speaker.

Seven agencies will be represented when graduates take the oath of office, receive their badges, and participate in a special ceremony where family and friends assist them with pinning on their badges for the first time.

Class participants received 524 hours or more of peace officer training in areas including law, patrol activities, traffic services, report writing, investigations, firearms, first aid, and criminal justice.

Graduates are: Johnphilip Campbell, Bryan Collins, Andrew Culver, Kioshe Helm, Brandi Jackson, Shametrius McCarthy, Anna Schoen, Randy Sneed, and LaPorsha Williams, Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office; Tommy McGee and Austin Sloan, Camp Minden Military Police; Aaron Barnes, Haynesville Police Department; Gabriel Whitaker, Mansfield Police Department; Nicholes Sandel, Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office; Kenya Brown, Shreveport City Marshal’s Office; and Joseph Rainer, Zwolle Police Department.
