Caddo Sheriff’s deputies responded to a fatality crash east of Vivian Sunday night, according to Sheriff Steve Prator.

The crash occurred at 10 p.m. in the 9700 block of Hwy. 170 and involved one vehicle. Deputy Eric Greene said the driver of a 1999 Chevy 2500 was headed east when he ran off the road and struck a tree. A passer-by happened upon the crash afterward and reported it to the Sheriff’s Office. The driver was deceased at the scene.

The Caddo Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigations Unit identified the driver through fingerprints as a Vivian man, age 35. His name is being withheld pending notification.
