A Keithville woman was booked into Caddo Correctional Center for stealing mail from 53 different victims, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Early Friday morning, March 8, the Caddo Sheriff’s Office received information that a suspicious vehicle was in the 9500 block of Bonnydune Drive and that the driver was taking mail from mailboxes.  Patrol Deputy Matthew Frizzell located the truck and conducted a traffic stop at Linwood and Southern Loop. While talking to the driver, 51-year-old Wanda Chandler, Frizzell noticed a large amount of mail in the passenger seat. The mail belonged to different victims from multiple addresses on several streets.

Frizzell also recovered checkbooks belonging to a Caddo Parish constable and checks with the constable’s forged signature.

Chandler, of the 900 block of Barron Road, was booked into CCC on 53 counts of simple theft and one count of identity theft.
