Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Deputies are on the scene of an accident involving an 18-wheeler that flipped over on LA Hwy 169 just south of Hammock Road early on Friday.

The call came in at 8:03 a.m.. Deputy Alvin Slay arrived on the scene at 8:12 a.m. followed by Caddo Fire District 3 and ten other deputies.

Dep. Slay said the truck was northbound towards Blanchard when the wooden pallets it was hauling shifted causing the truck to flip over.

The driver was not injured. No one else was involved in the accident.

LA Hwy 169 remains closed between South Lake Shore and Debris Road.

Drivers are advised to reroute to Hwy 220 to I-49 until the scene is cleaned up, which could take several hours.
