A Shreveport man is now behind bars after stealing and racking up charges to his former employer’s account.

On June 15, while an ABC Auto clerk was on the phone with First Choice Lawn Care company to confirm a purchase Williams was making, surveillance cameras recorded Williams walking out of the store with $470 worth of items he did not pay for. After the incident, the lawn care company checked their records and realized Williams had been using their account since June 3, two days after the company let him go.

Caddo Sheriff’s Office Detective Michael King obtained an arrest warrant for Williams on charges of felony and misdemeanor theft. Williams was arrested on the warrant and other theft charges from unrelated cases on July 30. He was booked into Caddo Correctional Center. His bond is set at $5250.
