In other announcements:

  • The City of Shreveport Water Department made significant progress overnight and is now seeing water pressure increase at the 70th and Pines Road booster station. West Shreveport’s water pressure is still low, but the pressure is expected to begin increasing over the next few hours now that there is enough water to turn on the booster pumps. Crews are now repairing breaks, primarily in the Queensborough area.
  • Repairs are also being done on several lines in the Norma/Murphy Street area, which is a main pressure zone. This will aid with more water pressure to Willis-Knighton North and the Highland neighborhood. Crews have discovered a few more leaks around this area.
  • To report water leaks, call (318) 673-7600.
  • A boil water advisory remains in effect. There will be an increase of chlorine in the water over the next several days out of an abundance of caution. Customers may smell a slight chlorine odor and see a cloudy appearance which is normal. Water must stay at a rolling boil for one minute to be considered safe. The CDC recommends boiling water for preparation of food and beverages, baby formula, pets' drinking water, making ice, and brushing teeth, among other things. For questions about the boil advisory, call (318) 673-7654.
  • The Caddo Sheriff Sale scheduled for Wednesday, February 24, has been canceled and will be rescheduled.
  • Government Plaza and all city offices will reopen to the public on Wednesday.
  • All parish offices in Government Plaza will reopen to the public on Wednesday. The Caddo Parish Courthouse will reopen to the public as well.
  • Caddo Parish Juvenile Court and the Caddo Parish Health Unit (Creswell) will remain closed due to water pressure issues.
