Original Release:

The Caddo Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating 7-year-old Albert Maggett of Vivian, said Sheriff Steve Prator. Maggett is considered endangered, and authorities are heavily searching the area in hopes of locating him.

Earlier today, Child Protective Services went to an address in the 1500 block of Pardue Street in Vivian to take custody of Maggett by order of the court. Maggett's mother, Devin Michelle Smith, fled the house on foot with the child. She was located later but the child was no longer with her. He was last seen by witnesses around 3:30 p.m. near South Pardue and East Pennsylvania streets with a man.

Maggett is described as a black male juvenile, 4' 6" tall weighing 70-80 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.

Deputies are also looking for 56-year-old Bruce Anderson, who may have information to assist in this investigation.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Maggett or Anderson is asked to call 911 or the Caddo Sheriff's Office at 675-2170.

Smith, 36, is being booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for interfering with child custody.
