DEA Task Force investigation ends in arrest

A Shreveport woman remains behind bars after she was caught with one kilogram of methamphetamine last week, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Agents with the DEA Task Force arrested Misty Ott, 45, on Feb. 22 after an investigation by the Task Force and a traffic stop by the Louisiana State Police on LA-3132 at Jewella Ave. 

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, they found approximately one kilogram of methamphetamine, a loaded 9 mm handgun, a meth pipe, and $2,100 in cash.

Ott was booked into Caddo Correctional Center charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule II CDS, Possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS, and Possession of drug paraphernalia. 

The DEA Task Force consists of the following agencies: Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State Police, Shreveport Police Department and DEA. All were involved in the investigation into Misty Ott.
