Big rig crash shuts down LA175

1:30 p.m. update: The road is back open.

Caddo deputies shut down LA175 to allow tow truck workers to remove an 18-wheeler that rolled over into a ditch on Tuesday morning, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

At approximately 9:42 a.m., Caddo patrol deputies said an 18-wheeler traveling west on LA175 hit a guardrail. Its driver lost control and the big rig flipped over into a ditch. Deputies said the driver appears to be okay but LA175 just south of Highway 1 must be completely shut down while the wreckage is being cleaned up.
