Sheriff Steve Prator announced a new Public Information Officer for the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Rod White was selected as the PIO to oversee Media Relations. He began his new job on Monday, March 6.

“We are excited Rod has joined us and certain the citizens of Caddo Parish will quickly get to know him and find him to be an important part of keeping them informed,” Prator said.

White’s duties will include serving as a spokesman for the department; working with media partners to release timely information about CPSO arrests, activities, and crime trends; and overseeing social media content.

White served as the assistant PIO for the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office for the past 10 years. He currently serves as the media director for Elizabeth Baptist Church in Benton and worked as a chief photographer and multi-media journalist for KTBS-TV from 1998-2013. He is also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
