Charges Updated on a Man Previously Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

Detectives with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office have found more files on an electronic device belonging to Wayne Parks.  

After a further forensic examination of Wayne Parks' devices, an additional 8,417 files (videos and images) of child pornography were found on his electronic devices. These files were verified through National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) to be known victims of child pornography.

Parks’ charges have been upgraded to a total of 9,181 counts Possession Pornography Involving Juveniles and 82 counts of Sexual Abuse of an Animal.

He is currently housed in the Caddo Correctional Facility. A bond has not been set in this investigation.

Detectives with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Shreveport man for possession and distributing hundreds of pornographic images and videos involving juveniles and pornographic images involving animals.

After an investigation that began in November 2022, Det. Thomas Lites arrested Wayne Parks, 48, of the 5400 block of Tal Drive in Shreveport on March 15, for distributing child pornography. After obtaining and executing a search warrant for his home on March 1, Det. Lites removed several electronic devices from Park’s home. During a digital examination of his devices, he found more than 800 images and videos depicting child sexual abuse of prepubescent children and pornography involving animals.

Parks was arrested and charged with 764 counts of Possession of Pornography Involving Juveniles and 82 counts of Possession of Sexual Abuse of an Animal. He is booked in the Caddo Correctional Center and is currently being held without bond. More charges are pending as this is an ongoing investigation.

Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives continue to aggressively investigate child sexual abuse cases with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) team, the Attorney General’s Office, and with the aid of the latest technology.
