Update: Old Mansfield Road, from Mansfield Road to Keithville/Springridge Road, and the intersection of Old Mansfield Road at Oak Hollow Drive has re-opened. Union Pacific used heavy machinery to clear a train derailment, which had caused a temporary road closure since August 15.

Caddo Parish patrol deputies are currently assisting with a train derailment on the south end of the parish, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr.

This evening, around 4:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Union Pacific derailment on Old Mansfield Road in Keithville, LA.

Caddo Fire District 4 was on the scene and confirmed that there were no injuries or hazardous materials released from the derailment.

Old Mansfield Road is closed from Mansfield Road to Keithville/Springridge Road until further notice, including the intersection of Old Mansfield Road and Oak Hollow Drive.
