City burglary suspects now faces charges in parish

Two men who were originally arrested for committing burglaries in Shreveport now face additional charges for breaking into several homes in the parish, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

William Dean Bechtel, 17, of Keithville, and Tyler Bargenquast, 17, of Shreveport, have each been charged with two counts of burglary and one count of attempted burglary for residential break-ins that occurred in south Caddo Parish.

Both men were originally arrested in November by Shreveport Police and charged with three city burglaries. At the time of their arrests, their fingerprints were entered into AFIS, which later connected them to evidence and cases worked by Caddo Sheriff's detectives.

Caddo Sheriff's Detective Terry Richardson said the suspects are accused of stealing electronic items such as televisions, computers, and game systems and selling them on Craigslist.
