Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator and Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw announced today the arrests of 10 people following an investigation into the operation of a heroin ring in Caddo and Bossier parishes.

Members of the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit executed search warrants on Friday at the Shreveport residences of 3817 Pike Street, 1742 Midway Ave, 2812 Murray Street, 5403 Bienville Ave, 1604 Alice Lane, and 4027 Akard Avenue. Agents executed these search warrants from undercover purchases of heroin from all of the above residences. Approximately 20.6 grams of black tar heroin, 35 capsules of Mexican brown powder heroin, 2.7 grams of china white heroin, and over $6,000 in cash were seized. More arrests are expected as a result of this case.

Assisting in the investigation were the Shreveport Police vice, intel, SRT, and K-9 units; Caddo Sheriff's SRT and K-9 units; DEA Task Force; FBI Task Force; US Marshal's Office; Bossier City Police; and Bossier Sheriff's Office.
