Three arrested in theft ring

Three people were jailed over the weekend for their part in a theft ring that targeted inoperable vehicles.

Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator said the ring has been linked to the theft of six vehicles in Caddo and Desoto parishes. The vehicles were trailered or towed by the suspects to local scrap yards and sold.

Arrested were Lucas Lynn Logan, 18, of Stonewall; Jade Cofer Logan, 28, of Keithville; and Tonya Liuzzi, 21, of Keithville. All are charged with theft. The suspected leader of the ring, Kody Logan, 20, of Keithville, is still being sought by sheriff’s deputieson two felony counts and two misdemeanor counts of theft.

Detectives say another suspect who was not part of the ring, Tommy Harley Jr., 33, of Stonewall, was also arrested for theft during the investigation. Harley is accused of stealing a car that was previously stolen by Kody Logan and Liuzzi. Logan and Liuzzi were in the process of towing the stolen vehicle when they experienced mechanical problems and had to abandon it on the side of the road. Harley picked up the car the following day and sold it to a local scrap yard.

Detectives are also seeking information on a green 1960 Ford truck that Kody Logan sold to an unknown individual. That buyer may not have known the vehicle was stolen and would not be expected to face charges if they contact the Sheriff’s Office voluntarily.

This case is being investigated by Caddo Detectives Terry Richardson and Russell Hicks. Anyone with information regarding Kody Logan’s location is urged to contact the detectives at 675-2170.
