Super Safety Saturday to be held at Sheriff's Safety Town

The Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier will hold its fourth annual Super Safety Saturday at Sheriff's Safety Town from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, September 21.

Super Safety Saturday combines family fun with educational activities to teach children about a variety of topics from bicycle and sports/water safety to health care.

Explore and learn about severe weather and fire safety in the Sheriff's Safety Town Fire and Weather House. Pedal your bike through the Safety Town neighborhood and participate in the bike rodeo to practice the rules of the road. (Children are asked to provide their own bikes. Helmets will be provided to those who do not have one.)

Learn about water and internet safety, healthy food choices and more at the Health & Safety Fair. Get an up-close look at emergency vehicles, race cars, motorcyles, and more at the Touch-A-Truck exhibit. First-responders will also be on-site to conduct free child car seat inspections to ensure the proper fit and installatin of your child's car seat. 

Local entertainment and jump houses for the kids will make up the Family Fun Zone. Refreshment vendors will also be on-site. The first 500 children to visit all designated areas within their supplied Pitstop to Safety Pass will receive a goody bag.

The event is sponsored by the Junior League in conjuntion with the Caddo Sheriff's Office, SPAR, KVKI Radio, Southern Hills Animal Hospital, Powell Photography, and Graf Orthodontics.
