When livestock escape from their enclosures, they can pose a significant traffic or safety hazard. Livestock includes cattle, horses, donkeys, large flightless birds (such as emus or ostriches), goats, sheep, hogs, and pigs.
If you see loose livestock, please call our Non-Emergency number (318) 675-2170 right away. Sheriff's deputies will respond to evaluate the situation and take the necessary steps to contain or capture the loose animals. Your prompt reporting is crucial for safety.
Please note that livestock does not include dogs, cats, or wildlife in unincorporated Caddo Parish. For removal of nuisance pests (such as skunks, rabbits, squirrels, opossums, snakes, etc.), please contact the Caddo Parish Animal Services.
