National Night Out is a community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. The annual event enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement making our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

Millions of neighbors take part in National Night, some celebrating in August and others in October. Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more.

To register your block party in unincorporated areas of the parish return the completed form to your nearest Sheriff’s Office substation at one of the following addresses:

North Substation, 11411 Hwy. 1 North, Oil City;
South Substation, 9956 Mansfield Road, Keithville; and
Patrol Administrative Offices, 4910 North Market Street, Shreveport.

If you live within the city limits of Shreveport, please send your requests for block parties and street closures to the Shreveport Police Department.
