The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Detective Division includes the Persons and Property Unit, Youth Services and the Caddo Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force. Sheriff's detectives conduct investigations throughout Caddo Parish, and on occasion, in the City of Shreveport.
The eight detectives assigned to the Persons and Property Unit investigate a wide variety of crimes including homicides, sexual assaults, robbery, burglary, and theft. Detectives are assigned to the north and south sectors of Caddo Parish.
The Caddo Shreveport Financial Crime Task Force investigates financial crimes such as forgery, identity theft, counterfeit checks and money, embezzlements, credit card fraud and other similar crimes.
In Youth Services three detectives investigate crimes against juveniles, including physical and sexual abuse. They also work juvenile status offenses such as runaways, families in need of services and children in need of care. The DARE and School Resource Officer programs also are important parts of Youth Services and are staffed with nine Deputies.
