Vivian man stabbed during domestic fight

A Vivian man is recovering at LSUHSC after being stabbed in the neck by his wife during a domestic fight, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Sheriff's deputies responded to the 400 block of S. Spruce Street in Vivian following a 911 call from the family's residence. Jerry Wayne Robinson, 43, and his wife, Sandra Robinson, 33, were involved in a physical confrontation that started in the master bedroom and continued through the house. Witnesses said Sandra Robinson armed herself with a knife from the kitchen after she was choked by her husband. During the fight, Jerry Robinson was stabbed in the throat. He was airlifted to LSUHSC for treatment.

Sheriff's Detectives Matthew Purgerson and Keith Fox arrested Jerry Robinson for domestic abuse battery. He will be booked into the Caddo Correctional Center upon his release from the hospital.
