Evidence continues to mount against a Caddo Parish man accused of sexually abusing juveniles, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Loyd Karl Hastings, who pled guilty to similar charges in DeSoto Parish and has an outstanding warrant in Caddo for the sexual battery and aggravated rape of juveniles, was named this week in a new Caddo arrest warrant for manufacturing child pornography and possession of child pornography.

Caddo Sheriff’s Detective James Moore said he was contacted in December after someone found a number of suspicious computer disks in a storage trailer owned by Hastings. The disks were marked with the name of one of the juvenile victims from the earlier case investigated in Caddo Parish. Moore said there were at least 250,000 images of child pornography on the disks, including some of local victims and some from the internet.

Moore obtained a search warrant for Hastings' property on West Martin Luther King Drive and found four additional boxes filled with approximately 500 disks containing multiple images of child pornography.

Hastings is currently serving his sentence on the DeSoto charges at a facility in Ferriday. The Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office is working to execute the Caddo warrants.

Anyone with information regarding these investigations is urged to contact Detective Moore at 681-0700.
