A one-car crash on Hwy. 169 Friday night claimed the life of a Caddo Parish man, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Edward Dickson, 34, of Keithville, was killed in the crash that occurred about 11:30 p.m.

Cpl. Ken Davis, of the Caddo Sheriff's Traffic Safety Unit, said Dickson was traveling at a high rate of speed approaching Colquitt Road when he lost control of his Cadillac CTS and crossed the center line. Dickson ran off the road into a ditch and flipped his vehicle several times. He was ejected from the car. A passer-by spotted Dickson's vehicle and notified authorities.

Dickson was taken to University Health where he died.
