Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator announced today that the Sheriff’s Office will hold an auxiliary deputy class beginning May 5, and applications are currently being accepted.
Auxiliary deputies supplement full-time Caddo sheriff’s deputies by volunteering their services to the Sheriff’s Office in a non-enforcement capacity. Graduates are required to complete 72 hours of classroom instruction and 40 hours on patrol with a full-time deputy.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have no criminal history, and possess a valid driver’s license.
