Caddo - Shreveport Narcotics conduct operation in response to citizens' complaints

Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator and Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw announced that the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit conducted an operation in the MLK area of Shreveport on Thursday May 29th, 2014. The operation was in response to complaints in the area involving the sale of crack cocaine.  

Members of the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team executed a search warrant in the 3000 block of Gordonia in response to the complaints from residents. After the warrant was executed, an operation was conducted by the Caddo–Shreveport Narcotics Unit and Shreveport Police Vice Unit.

As a result of the search warrant and the operation that followed, a total of 19 suspects were arrested for felony cocaine charges. According to Caddo Sheriff’s Lieutenant Carl Townley, the last suspect arrested, a W/F actually walked up while agents were ending the operation and boldly demanded to buy crack cocaine. Lieutenant Townley said it surprised the agents due to the fact they were wearing tactical uniforms clearly marked with either SHERIFF or POLICE. The suspect was consequently arrested.

During the arrests, agents seized approximately 18.2 grams of crack cocaine, a small amount of marijuana and a small amount of ecstasy. The suspects were booked in the Caddo Correctional Center and Shreveport City Jail.

  • Charles Young, B/M, age 59, Possession of Schedule II Cocaine and Possession of Schedule I.
  • Sharon Neidigh, W/F, age 62, Possession of Schedule II Cocaine.
  • Timothy Carver, W/M, age 53, Possession of Schedule II Cocaine.
  • Sammy Williams, B/M, age 57, Possession of Schedule II Cocaine.
  • Jarea Willmore, B/M, age 23, Possession of Schedule II Cocaine and Possession of Schedule I.
  • Charles Heflin, W/M, age 65, Possession of Schedule II Cocaine.
  • Larry Thompson, B/M, age 52, Possession of Schedule II Cocaine.
  • Charles Jones, W/M, age 66, Possession of Schedule II Cocaine.
  • John Allen, W/M, age 49, Possession of Schedule II Cocaine.
  • Ronald Fowler, B/M, age 59, Possession of Schedule II Cocaine.
  • Stacey Carpenter, W/M, age 40, Possession of Schedule II Cocaine.
  • David Hanus, W/M, age 51, Possession of Schedule II Cocaine.
  • Tammy Owen, W/F, age 59, Possession of Schedule II Cocaine.
  • Pamela Rochester, W/F, age 49, Possession of Schedule II Cocaine.
