Woman arrested for soliciting murder of husband

A Caddo Parish woman is spending her 12th wedding anniversary behind bars after being arrested for trying to have her husband killed.

Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator said Lynette Blow, 50, of the 7400 block of Waterwood Drive in Greenwood, was arrested this morning at a relative's home in the Lakeview Subdivision. Blow was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center by Detective Michael Escude', who obtained a warrant for her arrest charging Blow with one count of solicitation to commit murder. Caddo Judge John Mosley set Blow's bond at $1 million.

Blow is accused of soliciting the murder of her husband, Michael, in 2004 and in 2007. The couple married on July 3, 1996.

In 2004, Blow met a man socially, developed a relationship with him, asked him to kill her husband for $10,000 or find someone to do the job, then ended all contact with the man after he refused her request. In 2007, she made the same request of a former co-worker, also offering him $10,000. Neither accepted the offer.

Michael Blow was recently released from the hospital after he was shot twice during an alleged home invasion on June 14. He and his wife returned home to be confronted by two men inside their house. That case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Escude' at 681-0700.
