Two Caddo Sheriff’s narcotics officers were recognized as the best in the state during a meeting of the Louisiana Narcotics Officers Association in New Orleans this past week, announced Sheriff Steve Prator.

Sheriff’s Lt. Carl Townley was named Supervisor of the Year and Cpl. John Witham was named Agent of the Year by the LNOA.

Nominations for Supervisor of the Year, Agent of the Year, DA of the Year, and K9 Officer of the Year were submitted statewide by members of the LNOA and the officers’ peers in their field. The awards were voted on by members of the LNOA Executive Committee. Winners were selected based on a variety of criteria including specific case information and overall service.
