A barbecue benefit will be held Friday, November 7, at Caddo Correctional Center in support of two Caddo deputies whose home burned recently.

A fire originated in the kitchen of the house belonging to Deputy Rickey Evans and his wife, Detective Yomeka Evans. While the fire was confined to the kitchen, the remainder of the house received significant water and smoke damage.

Deputies will hold a barbecue in support of the Evans family from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at CCC located at 1101 Forum Drive in Shreveport. Plates will include a chicken leg quarter, green beans, corn, bread, and cake for $6. Delivery is available for orders of 10 or more plates. Pre-orders are encouraged.
