A home identified in October as the site of a large-scale marijuana growing operation received another visit from law enforcement on Tuesday. This time agents found 47 marijuana plants inside, said Sheriff Steve Prator and Police Chief Willie Shaw.

Agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit returned to 1944 Roy Road as part of an investigation that began on October 10. While conducting a search this week, they found marijuana plants valued at $47,000. The plants were located in various locations throughout the house.

In October, agents were called to the house and recovered 21 pounds of processed marijuana and 60 mature plants with a total value of $82,000. There was also evidence that hundreds of more plants had previously been harvested, which agents said could have a value of more than $250,000.

Arrested Tuesday were Jimmy Tigues, 59, and his brother John Tigues, Jr., 61. Both men live at the residence. Jimmy was booked into Caddo Correctional Center on two counts of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and for being a fugitive from the City Marshal’s Office. John was booked into CCC on one count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
