* Update: The U.S. Marshal's Task Force captured James Taylor III today, Jan. 6, in the 2200 block of North Riverwood Drive, Bossier City.  He was later transported to CCC and booked in.

Caddo Sheriff’s detectives are investigating shots fired at an Oil City apartment complex Sunday night and obtained an arrest warrant for a man they believe was involved, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

James Taylor III, also known as “Stank”, is wanted for aggravated assault with a firearm. Bond on the warrant is set at $100,000.

Taylor is a 17-year-old black male, 5’10, 130 pounds. His last known address is the 200 block of East Davis in Vivian.

Sheriff’s Detective Chris Daniel said witnesses reported a silverfish gray Chevrolet Impala pulled into the Villa Oaks apartment complex at 403 Walnut Street in Oil City around 8:20 p.m. Sunday. A man later identified as Taylor was seen leaning out of the passenger’s side front window. Shots were fired from the vehicle towards two men standing by the stairway, but no one was hit.

Daniel said Taylor and one of the victims are acquaintances and were involved in a Facebook dispute over a female.

Anyone with information about Taylor’s location is asked to contact Det. Daniel at 675-2170 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
