A former sheriff’s deputy was arrested by CPSO today for stealing three cows and selling them for nearly $3,000.

Marilyn Roberson, 54, was arrested for felony theft following an investigation by by the Caddo Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana Livestock Brand Commission.

The cows did not belong to Roberson but were being kept on a pasture leased by her. She is accused of selling the cows at the Panola Livestock sale barn in December. 

Roberson was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center. She was immediately fired from her duties with the Caddo Sheriff’s Office, where she worked as a corrections deputy.
