Inmate who walked away from hospital back in custody

* Update: Booker was located this morning hiding in an abandoned shed in the 1600 block of Milam. She will be booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for simple escape.   

 

Original story: An inmate under guard by a private security company walked away from University Health this morning while receiving treatment there.

Kenterrica Dechante Booker, 21, was reported missing at 8:38 a.m. today. She escaped from a guard after asking to use the restroom.

Booker is pregnant and had been at the hospital since Friday. She was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on Feb. 16 for unathorized use of a moveable and state probation violation.

Booker is pictured in the attached jail booking photo, but deputies say she has since cut her hair.

Booker may be headed to Rayville where she has family. Anyone with information about her location is asked to call the Caddo Sheriff's Office at 675-2170.
