The Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit recovered marijuana, cash, and firearms, and arrested one person following a month-long investigation in north Caddo Parish.

Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator and Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw said that earlier this morning agents executed a search warrant at 9581 Pinecrest Road in Mooringsport. While searching the residence and the property, they recovered three firearms, approximately 12 pounds of suspected marijuana (street value $54,550), and $6,367 in cash.

Richard Medlin, 66, was arrested for Possession of Schedule I (marijuana) with Intent to Distribute and Illegal Carrying of Weapons.  Medlin was taken into custody and booked into Caddo Correctional Center.

The following agencies assisted with the investigation: Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit, Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Patrol, Shreveport Police K-9 Unit, and Louisiana State Police K-9.
