The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Traffic Safety Unit is investigating a hit and run crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. 

The crash happened in the 2600 block of E. 70th St. around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday. 

Brandon Nichols, 26, of Shreveport, was walking in the inside lane of E. 70th when he was struck by a vehicle which fled the scene. Nichols crawled into the grass where he was later discovered. 

Nichols was transported to University Health Hospital with severe injuries. 

Evidence found at the scene indicates the vehicle involved was a 2007 to 2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse.  The vehicle will have moderate damage to the front bumper, hood, and passenger side headlight.
