A Shreveport man in jail for murdering Harold Bruce Cotton is now charged with soliciting the murder of a witness in that case, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Jake Robinson has been an inmate at the Caddo Correctional Center since July awaiting trial for Cotton's 2004 murder. In March, Caddo detectives learned that Robinson had solicited individuals to have a potential witness killed to prevent them from testifying. Detectives conducted an investigation and obtained a warrant charging Robinson with solicitation for murder.
