The Army National Guard will be assisting the City of Shreveport today with the transportation of two pumps to the North Regional Waste Water Treatment Plant near Russell Road and I-220.

The National Guard will be using a Blackhawk helicopter to deliver the pumps to the plant, which is inaccessible by vehicle due to flood water. The pumps will be used to supplement existing operating equipment and provide relief to pumps that are currently running 24-hours a day at that location.
