Robbery suspect arrested by fugitive Task Force

A man wanted by the Caddo Sheriff’s Office for second-degree robbery was arrested after he was found hiding out at a relative’s house on Sumner Street in Shreveport, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Emmett Tillman, 28, was found hiding in a closet at his aunt’s house when deputies with the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force came calling. Tillman was taken into custody on an arrest warrant for robbery and failing to register as a sex offender. His aunt, Kathleen Jenkins, 54, who was helping Tillman evade arrest, was arrested for accessory after the fact to second-degree robbery. Both were booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.

Tillman is accused of robbing Daniel Burton on May 29 after they left a business in the 4900 block of Greenwood Road with two other men. Afterward, they stopped on Buncombe Road where Burton was hit on the head and left unconscious. When he awoke, he found his cell phone and wallet missing.

The investigation is continuing.
