14 arrested during recent drug investigations

Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator and Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw announced the arrests of 14 suspects following separate drug investigations in Caddo Parish this past week.

A six-month investigation came to a close on Friday after agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Task Force arrested Jason Shinall for distributing large quantities of ICE in the Caddo Parish area. Shinall was arrested at a West Shreveport hotel with over a pound of ICE in his possession.

During the investigation, agents seized 845 grams of methamphetamine Ice valued at $100,000, over 200 grams of high-grade marijuana, $13,000 in cash, and several firearms. 

Shinall, 45, of Joaquin, Texas, was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II Methamphetamine over 400 grams, Possession of Schedule III CDS, and Possession of Schedule IV CDS.

Five other suspects who were connected to Shinall were also arrested. They are:

Shannon Lansing, 36, of the 10000 block of McElroy Drive in Keithville, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule III, and Possession of Marijuana;

Ashley Snell, 32, of Youngsville, LA, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II Methamphetamine and Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I Marijuana;

Tammy Scott, 42, of the 200 block of Boulevard in Shreveport, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II Methamphetamine and Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I Marijuana;

William Morrison, 36, of the 600 block of Dodd Drive in Shreveport, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana; and

Devon McVay, 35, of the 200 block of Blanchard Mobile Villa in Shreveport, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana.

Agents also obtained an arrest warrant in connection with the above operation for

Brad Fraser Marshall, 57, of the 400 block of Dellwood in Shreveport, for Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine.

In an unrelated case, agents conducted an undercover operation throughout Shreveport on Thursday after receiving numerous complaints of open-air drug sales. During the one-day operation, undercover agents posed as drug users purchasing from sellers on the street and arrested eight suspects for selling crack cocaine, marijuana, and pills.

The following suspects were arrested:

Donte Gilbert, 22, 6900 block of Frazier Circle, Shreveport, Distribution of Cocaine;

Codero Jackson, 28, 2200 block of Freewater Street, Shreveport, Distribution of Cocaine;

Bonnie Powell, 31, 2100 block of South Brookwood, Bossier City, Distribution of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Firearm with CDS, and Parole Violation;

Juvenile Suspect, 15, Distribution of Marijuana;

Jason Wade, 30, of the 100 block of Lister Street, Shreveport, Distribution of Xanax;

Lamorrious Biglow, 34, 3400 block of Palmdale Place, Shreveport, Distribution of Cocaine;

Britney Stevens, 27,  2200 block of East Texas Street, Bossier City, Distribution of Cocaine; and

Carlo White, 32, 400 block of Choctaw Trail, Shreveport, Distribution of Cocaine.

The DEA Task Force, Caddo Sheriff’s Patrol Division, Shreveport Police Patrol Division, and Shreveport City Marshal’s Office assisted in the investigations.
