Employee's boyfriend behind bars for stealing bank deposit

A former Pizza Hut employee’s boyfriend has been arrested for stealing a deposit bag full of cash, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

James Winn of Shreveport was arrested by Caddo Detective Casey Jones after an investigation determined Winn stole a deposit bag containing $2,344.66 from Pizza Hut. Winn was the boyfriend of a Pizza Hut employee and was given the deposit bag along with a deposit slip to take to the bank. Winn was not employed by Pizza Hut but had taken the deposits to the bank on several occasions for his girlfriend.

Detective Jones said bank records, video surveillance and statements from interviews showed Winn was in possession of the deposit but never made it to the bank. James Winn was arrested for felony theft and booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
