A contract nurse was arrested this past week for double billing and over billing a client, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Lisa Bain Phillips, 46, of Haughton, was arrested for stealing $39,896 from the Caddo Parish Commission, which contracted with two nursing agencies who employed Phillips to provide medical care at the Caddo Correctional Center.

Phillips is accused of submitting time slips for more hours than she worked and for hours she never worked. She is also accused of submitting time slips to both companies for the same hours worked.

Phillips was booked into CCC for felony theft by Detective Robert Presley, who investigated the case.
