A Keithville woman was arrested for aggravated second-degree battery for stabbing her husband and hitting him on the head with a hammer, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Deputies and EMS were called to the 6400 block of Caspiana Lane just after 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 17. When they arrived, they found William “Shane” Cordova suffering from a head wound and stab wounds to his back.

Deputies learned that Shane Cordova and his wife of 21 years, Brandy Cordova, had been arguing throughout the day, and Shane Cordova was injured during argument, according to Detective Terry Richardson, who made the arrest.

Shane Cordova, 45, was transported to a local hospital for serious injuries, but once there he refused treatment and left. Brandy Cordova, 40, was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center
