Caddo sheriff's detectives arrested a woman for stealing nearly $145,000 from her former employer, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Deborah Self was employed as an accountant for Castle Creek Express in Shreveport where she created fraudulent checks through a contractor and made the checks payable to herself. Debbie Self then invoiced her employer for the checks she issued to herself through the contractor.

Self is accused of stealing nearly $11,800 in 2006, $47,500 in 2007, and $85,700 in 2008.

Self, 50, of Shreveport, was arrested by Caddo Sheriff's Detective Bobby Herring and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for theft.
